Interface Development and Stabilisation

Reviewed, refactored and reorganised a full set of overnight interfaces to take full advantage of Robot in order to ensure that out of hours monitoring and response became unnecessary.

Designed, developed and implemented a set of interfaces between a bespoke telesales system and the Warehouse Management systems for both a National Distribution Centre and regional warehouses.

Developed an interface between a customer’s Web front-end and the JBA System/21 sales order processing module.

Defined requirements and developed functional and technical specifications, developed code and supported testing for interfaces to integrate the sales processing between a portfolio of online stores and the Island Pacific Merchandise Management System.

EDI Implementation and Maintenance

Deployed an AS/400 based EDI application and coordinated with customers to implement, test and deploy EDI trading relationships. Developed interfaces to integrate this EDI application with the existing bespoke sales and logistics systems.

Extended and enhanced existing iSeries based EDI framework to remove bottlenecks and ensure timely message processing so that data is available by start of business.

POS Interface Development

Designed and developed a full set of interfaces to integrate the Epicor POS system with the IBM i based Island Pacific merchandise management system.

Designed and implemented history loads to transfer data from the existing retail merchandise management system (Island Pacific) to the replacement system (Epicor) and worked with the wider project team to develop Purchase Order and ASN interfaces between the retail and distribution systems.

Retested and extended an existing set of Island Pacific to Epicor interfaces to enable their reuse in the more complex European retail environment. This included working across several departmental teams to develop technical specifications for and implement a wide range of new and changed interfaces.

Euro Implementation

Developed a set of currency analysis and conversion programs to implement the adoption of the Euro as legal currency. This included providing ongoing support during and immediately after the cut-over period.

Worked across multiple teams to support and effectively implement the conversion of retail prices to Euros in support of the introduction of Euro notes and coins.

Rapidly developed and implemented a procedure to copy and convert Bulgarian financial systems in order to ensure a successful Euro adoption at short notice.

Business Automation

Provided the analysis, design and development of a set of programs and processes to automate the management of of user profiles and application authorities in order to bring a ticketing system into compliance with current Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.
